Résumé

If you think investing is a pure craft that resists automation, it's time to watch this replay of Bodic's SIAI2025 conference on December 11.

We've brought together two approaches to talking about workflows and AI:

🔹 The "Native Geek" vision: François Veron (Newfund), which develops its own Chrome plugins with its in-house technical team to analyze incoming decks directly in Gmail.

🔹 The "Transformation at scale" vision:Mickael Clavier (Andera Partners), piloting data structuring across €5bn of assets and 6 strategies.

3 key insights to discover in this exchange:

1️⃣ Productivity gains are real and measurable. At Andera, the use of agents for summary notes saves 6 hours per file (the equivalent of 2 FTEs over the year!). A "convenience" delegated to the machine to free up human audit time.

2️⃣ "AI sometimes understands Decks better than we do". Newfund's finding is bluffing: on categorization and business model understanding, AI is often faster and more accurate than an information-saturated human.

3️⃣ The danger of "Cognitive Saturation". Beware of over-perfect pitches! François Véron warns of a standardization of entrepreneurs using ChatGPT to "hack" investment pitches, making the detection of true talent (the "Strong Belief") more complex.

💡 The conclusion? Paradoxically, AI doesn't replace the investor, it forces him to be more human. The time saved on data must be reinvested in the physical encounter and judgment, where the machine can't (yet) go.
